We teach Spanish as a foreign language, whether group intensive or semi-intensive courses, private or semi-private classes, Learn on the go (learn while travelling), classes on Skype, and a wide array of cultural and recreational activities.

Programs

Agora Language Center offers Spanish courses year round, we are only closed on a few official holidays (see calendar), Students can choose group or individual classes (check the options below to see which one suits your needs). Students yho have some previous knowledge of Spanish can start any Monday.

True beginners can start on the first and third Monday of each month. Beginners who cannot start on these dates can get 10 private or 15 semi-private hours for the price of the intensive course, until they can join a group.  In order to know more about our students' level, we will send you a placement test to take before you come, this will help us know in advance which group is best for you.

Group lessons

 

Intensive

20 HOURS PER WEEK / 9 AM TO 1 PM

During the 4 hours of class daily, students learn and practice grammar, work on oral communication, writing and listening skills. Thanks to the small size groups, all students have plenty of opportunities to actively take part in the class, and they still have lots of time to enjoy afternoons and evenings in Playa or take half-day trips during weekdays.

  • USD $220 per week (1 to 4 weeks)
  • USD $200 per week (5 to 8 weeks)
  • USD $190 per week (9 to 12 weeks)
  • USD $180 per week (more than 12 weeks)

Semi-Intensive

2 HOURS OF GRAMMAR HOURS

Ideal for those who do want to learn some Spanish, but still want to have lots of free time to explore the area.

  • USD $110 per week

(OPTIONAL) +1 hour private class 

A good option for those who want some personalized tutoring, besides the regular program, or for those who have specific needs.

4 to 8 students per group

If there are only 2 or 3 students of a same level, the students get 15 hours instead of 20. The small number of students in such a group compensates the reduced number of hours.

Private lessons

If you prefer a one-on-one interaction, private lessons are for you.

Private

For those who want to focus exclusively on their specific needs.

Perfect and affordable solution for couples, friends, or family members with the same level of Spanish.

DISTANCE LEARNING (SKYPE)

We highly recommend coming to Playa to study so that you can at the same time take advantage of everything the area has to offer.  But you can also take classes on Skype, whether before your Spanish course in Playa or afterwards. We can tailor the classes to your needs, both in terms of content and schedule. It is a good option to keep working on what you have already studied.  Skype classes are $20 USD per hour (check our prices section for more info and discounts for packages).
